Okidata® printers will not function properly with a spent chip or with a chip missing from the cartridge. Static Control now offers dedicated replacement chips for each color cartridge and each geographic region for many popular Okidata® printers. Printers will print with a missing chip, however, the Attention LED turns red, and the printer will display K, C, M, or Y Toner Not Installed. With a spent chip installed the Attention LED turns red, and the printer will display K, C, M, or Y Toner Empty. Static Control’s chip is OEM-like and offers full functionality.
