Empty HP P2015 cartridges are currently expensive and very hard to find. Static Control’s new HP P2015 Waste Bin Assembly (HP2015WBIN) allows remanufacturers to easily convert plentiful, more economical HP1160 and 1320 empties into P2015 cartridges.

The waste bin assembly includes an OPC bearing plate, PCR saddles and saddle springs, PCR contact cover spring, recovery blade, wiper blade end felts and 2 wiper blade end foams all installed and ready for your convenience. The HP1160/1320 waste bin drum axle fin is larger than the P2015 drum axle fin; therefore when our P2015 waste bin is installed the round tab must be trimmed so that the cartridge will fit into the printer.
To modify, first remove the cartridge pins to separate the two sections of the cartridge, cut off the boss flush with the end cap and remove it.

Then rotate the cartridge to the contact side to locate the tab and determine its shape. If the tab is D-shaped then no modification is required; if it is round it will need to be modified. |

Before modifying, align the hopper section with SCC’s HP P2015 replacement waste bin and secure with SCC cartridge pin on both ends. Then, if the tab is rounded, a portion will need to be cut flush with the drum axle housing fin and removed. Finally, file away any rough edges made during cutting. |
